Privacy & cookies
This policy explains what data Meeeters collects, why, and the choices you have. It is written to align with the GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection. It is a model to review with a professional.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Christopher Fernandes, Avenue Aloïse Hugonnet 22, 1110 Morges, Switzerland. For any privacy request, contact hello@meeeters.com.
Data we collect
Account data: your email address and plan, managed through our authentication provider. Website data: the domain you register and the public SEO metrics we fetch for it (such as domain rating, referring domains and traffic estimates). Product data: your matches, credits, placed and received links, and messages you exchange with other members. Usage data: basic technical logs and, only if you accept analytics cookies, aggregated analytics about how the site is used.
Why we use it
We use your data to operate the network, match you with relevant sites, verify links, run your subscription, keep the service secure and fair, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.
Google user data (Search Console and Analytics)
If you choose to connect your Google account from your dashboard, Meeeters requests read and write access to your Google Search Console properties and read only access to your Google Analytics data. We use this access for one purpose: powering features you see in your own dashboard. Concretely, we detect the Search Console property matching your registered domain, submit your sitemap to Google after you publish content, and display your own search performance (clicks, impressions, positions, top queries) and analytics summaries (sessions, landing pages) back to you.
Your Google authorization token is stored server side only, in a locked database table that is never exposed to browsers or other members. We never share, sell or transfer your Google data to third parties, we do not use it for advertising, and no human reads it except with your explicit consent for support or as required for security and legal compliance. You can disconnect at any time from your dashboard Settings, which revokes the token and deletes it from our systems; you can also revoke access from your Google account security settings.
Meeeters' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Cookies
Essential cookies are needed to sign you in and keep your session secure; they are always active. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) only load if you click Accept on the cookie banner. You can decline, and you can change your choice at any time by clearing the site data in your browser. Declining does not affect essential features.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of processors to run Meeeters: Supabase for database and authentication, Vercel for hosting, Stripe for payment processing on the Pro plan, and Google Analytics for optional, consent based analytics. Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
Retention
We keep account and product data while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet legal and accounting obligations. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal data that we are not required to keep.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside Switzerland or the EU. Where that happens, we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to protect your data.
Your rights
You can request access to your data, correction, deletion, a copy in a portable format, and you can object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, write to hello@meeeters.com. You may also contact the competent data protection authority.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated on the site or by email, with an updated date below.
