Why Is My Site Not Showing on Google?

Short answer: if your site does not show on Google, it is almost always one of four things: it is not indexed yet, a noindex tag or robots rule is blocking it, the domain is too new, or the content is too thin to rank. Each has a clear fix.

First, check if you are indexed

Search site:yourdomain.com on Google. If pages appear, you are indexed and the issue is ranking, not visibility. If nothing appears, you have an indexing problem.

The four common causes

1. Not indexed yet: submit your sitemap in Google Search Console and request indexing. New pages can take days to weeks.
2. Blocked by noindex or robots.txt: a stray noindex meta tag or a Disallow rule can hide your whole site. Inspect the page source and your robots file.

4. Thin or duplicate content: pages with little unique value may be crawled but not ranked.
