Moz alternative

Moz gave the industry Domain Authority, and a generation of SEOs learned the trade from its blog. It is a genuine institution. It is also, like every data suite, a tool that hands you a report and leaves the work with you.

In short
Moz is a metrics and audit platform, best known for Domain Authority. Meeeters is not a cheaper Moz: no comparable index, no DA equivalent to sell. It handles execution instead, writing and publishing pages and earning backlinks. Worth knowing before you switch: in our own measurement of 596 sites, authority scores correlated only 0.16 with actual organic traffic.

What people actually search here

990 searches / month
across the 'moz alternative' cluster.
Difficulty 0 / 100
effectively uncontested, which is unusual for a brand term with this much volume.
Correlation 0.16
between authority score and real organic traffic, measured across 596 sites in our own data. The metric everyone optimises predicts far less than assumed.

Why people look for a Moz alternative

Optimising a proxy metric
Domain Authority is a third-party estimate, not a Google signal. Teams end up managing the score rather than the outcome.
Audits produce long lists
A site audit returns hundreds of issues sorted by severity, and most of them never get fixed because fixing is somebody else's job.
The content still is not written
Every suite ends at the same place: a plan, and no one with time to execute it.

How Meeeters differs from Moz

1
Analyze
Free audit of your site: authority, referring domains, structure and the pages worth creating.
2
Publish
Meeeters writes and publishes the articles to your CMS on a schedule, rather than adding them to a backlog.
3
Earn links
Place one contextual link, earn one credit, receive a verified dofollow backlink from a real site.

The authority score deserves less attention than it gets

We measured 596 real sites. The correlation between authority score and actual organic traffic was 0.16, which is close to none. Fifteen percent of sites scoring 40 or above were getting under 100 visits a month, while some sites under 30 were pulling more than 10,000.

That does not make the metric useless, it makes it a rough comparator rather than a target. Referring domains and relevance move rankings; the score is a summary of them, and optimising the summary instead of the substance is how teams spend a year going nowhere.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the questions people ask most about this topic.

?
Does Meeeters have a Domain Authority equivalent?

It shows a 0 to 100 strength score from professional backlink data, and our free tool exposes it. We deliberately present referring domains alongside it, because that number tracks rankings more closely than any composite score.

?
Is Domain Authority worth optimising for?

As a comparator between similar sites, it is fine. As a target, it is misleading. In our data it correlated 0.16 with actual traffic, which is close to nothing.

?
What does Meeeters do that Moz does not?

Writes and publishes your articles, and earns backlinks through a member network. Moz reports; Meeeters executes.

?
Should I keep a metrics tool as well?

If you report to clients or a board who expect those numbers, yes. If the numbers were only ever for you, an audit of what to publish next is more actionable.
